Marcel Wanders: Pinned Up at the Stedelijk

From February 1 till June 15, the Stedelijk Museum proudly presents the exhibition Marcel Wanders: Pinned Up. Wanders is recognized as one of the most distinguished designers working today. He is internationally renowned for his furniture,   interior designs and original art direction. This is the first European survey exhibition of Wanders since 1999.

150 years Heineken

150 years ago Gerard Heineken took over the brewery known as De Hooiberg. In 1868 he built a new brewery on the outskirts of the city, the beginning of the Heineken multinational. The exhibition Heineken's Amsterdam also shows that he was one of the founders of modern Amsterdam. Visitors to the exhibtion will see that it was partly thanks to Gerard Adriaan Heineken that the lethargic city of Amsterdam acquired a new lease of life.

The exhibition Heineken's Amsterdam can be visited from 7 February - 11 May 2014 at the Amsterdam City Archives.
