A little bit of history The first Dikker & Co shop was founded in 1895 by Mr A.W. Dikker. Thijs became a partner in 1915 after being the assistant to the famous French chef Auguste Escoffier. In 1921 the majestic Prinsengracht building becomes the new address of Dikker & Thijs. Today, 100 years after it all began, a lot has changed but the new formula of the Fenice Hotel Group still respects the spirit of the founders in the Dikker & Thijs Fenice Hotel.
